Blue Man Group

2008-present

Since 2008, Bhurin has helped bring Blue Man Group’s spirit of curiosity, play, and nonverbal storytelling to audiences all over. He has worked in a variety of creative roles including performer, captain, trainer, director, and creative producer. His work has spanned resident productions, special events, and international tours, as well as collaborations with organizations, artists and brands on media and site-specific performances.

United Nations International Day of Peace Youth Observance
Creative Lead, Blue Man
Co-created, directed and performed a participatory piece for the United Nations International Day of Peace Youth Observance. Created in partnership with UN event coordinators, the interactive experience featured Blue Men collecting marbles from high school students and placing them into a custom sculpture symbolizing collective action for peace.

Double Chicken Please x Blue Man Group: Mindcluck II

Creative Lead, Director, Blue Man
Co-created, directed, and performed a special ticketed event developed in close collaboration with award-winning NYC bar Double Chicken Please and sponsored by Resy, Empirical, and Perrier. Featured in Forbes, the immersive, interactive experience fused Blue Man Group’s playful theatricality with inventive cocktail and food service, blending food, art, music, and chaos in equal measure.

Blue Man Group Hears “Welcome to the Black Parade” for the First Time

Directed and led the creative development of Blue Man Group’s contributions to Drumeo’s viral series, capturing the trio’s first-ever listen to My Chemical Romance’s iconic “Welcome to the Black Parade” and their rapid, inventive cover of the song. The collaboration highlighted the Blue Men’s unique style, out-of-the-box perspectives, and playful, collaborative spirit.




The Society of Historic Sonic Happenings (SHSH)

Part installation and interactive performance, the Society of Historic Sonic Happenings (SHSH) is an investigation of how we encounter history. if-then-else

Created in collaboration with Emerging Emergency, if-then-else examines the intersection between analog and digital actions and reactions. Through a series of sonic environments, textural digital landscapes, and collaborative interactions, the heroes of if-then-else explore the human side of technology and devise solutions to problems in real time.
